Accountability, Business and Growth: December 2012

On November 28th a dear friend and icon in this business, Zig Ziglar, passed away. His spirit and teachings will live on forever. I don’t know anyone who in the business of motivation and sales that hasn’t
had their life influenced in one way, shape or form by Zig’s teachings.

Here are my top 5 favorite quotes from Zig:

Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.

Building a better you is the first step to building a better America.

Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes.

Remember that failure is an event, not a person.

Rich people have small TVs and big libraries, and poor people have small libraries and big TVs.

If you want to change the world, if you want to make your business more
profitable, or if you want to spread your message farther…

It starts with improving yourself. That was Zig’s message.

In memory of Zig Ziglar and educating yourself first, I opened up Loral’s Library to our community with the caviat that the proceeds would go toward a charity of Zig’s family’s choosing. Our family here at Live Out Loud stepped up and we raised $3,502.54. Personally I want to thank the staff here at Live Out Loud and each one of these Live Out Loud members who helped us donate $1,751.12 each to Zig’s two favorite charities (Pheobe Lucille Fair Brain Cancer Charity and Operation Give Back for Wounded Warriors, Inc). Thank you…
